Black boards from our classes last week

Through out our discussions last week we were noting key words that came up on the blackboard as we went along. So the black board became a chronicle of classroom discussion. These are images of the blackboards (inverted for readability) at end of the day. Unfortunately I seem to have missed photographing the board on 2 days, which is sad because on one of the days we had a wonderful session about the natural environment and the man made environment.
Just so we can recall the rich and thoughtful reflections that flow in the class, Ranjan photographs the black board and makes it available to the students in our dcc class at NID. I thought it would be a good idea to repeat the practice here at IICD.

Design Methodology IICD 09 -The Course

The images in the last post of all the students are from the first day of the class. This blog has been set up midway through our course, after the conclusion of the first week. The entire course is for 3 weeks.
During this course we are looking at design processes of investigation, analyses, mapping and synthesis. Identifying design opportunities and creating appropriate design interventions. We will look at real life contexts and engage with issues and perspectives impacting design. These explorations are intended to set in motion a process of questioning, searching for directions and hopefully students will develop their own methods in response to varied design challenges.
